OKEMO STILL 97% OPEN !!!!!!

Mother nature or man-made, what's great snow without the wherewithal to groom and sculpt it into the stuff of legend? They put on a fresh face of corduroy and leave choice powder stashes for those seeking first tracks. With 15 years average experience using proprietary equipment right here at Okemo, nobody knows this mountain better. So much so, SKI Magazine has ranked Okemo #1 in the East for Grooming, a distinction they've also awarded us in Vermont each year for the past decade.

Finally back from the mountain it is now 11:00pm sunday night and I left the mountain at 5:30 this evening. For anyone that has driving to Okemo it is supposed to be only a 3 hour trip but this one tok so long do to a huge storm that came early in the weekened and dumped 8inches on a lot of Vermont. It took really long do to the ice, between two o the exits there was atleast 10 cars on the off the road. But on a more positive note this weekened was one of the best weekeneds at okemo over the last couple of years. The mountain had all 117 trails open and even the double diamonds, which by the way were the best. Great weekened even with the really long ride home.

This weekened at okemo they received a fresh coat of 3-4 inches of more snow with 106 trails to skiing look forward to a great sunday.
